Thanksgiving slightly tarnished.

I heart Thanksgiving and this year we got to have it with my family. We went to the airport on Tuesday and Leah's Boyfriend sat down just across from us. I gave him a really hard time because I saw him jogging with a cute blonde girl a couple of days ago and I was in defensive sister mode. He says that he has been dating since Leah's been gone but that he's keeping his eyes on the prize so I'm cool with it.

We flew to California and my parents stopped at In n' Out on the way home. It was delicious. I miss IN n' Out. We went home and my Mom gave me all my birthday presents which was awesome.

On Wednesday I made two chocolate cream cheese pies that were super good and super easy. I also got to meet up with my friend Michelle and we went to a Thai restaurant and got manicures. Seriously girly and seriously fun.

On Thursday I made candied yams and we had thanksgiving the Pettit way. The Pettit way includes the Paranandi family that lives next door and their contribution of Indian food. I also includes going around the table and saying what you are thankful for. This was the first year that my nephew has been old enough to really grasp the concept and when he was asked what he was thankful for he pointed to his dad, his mom, and Tyler. That pleased Tyler a lot because he isn't used to kids liking him all that much.

So here's the tarnish. On Friday my Mom and brother both have the stomach flu. Tyler and I get sick Saturday, just in time to travel back to Utah. Tyler had it much worse than me, and come Sunday I couldn't wake him up for the life of me. I moved him to the front room because there was something in the bedroom making him sneeze and then I went to church. I still wasn't feeling well so I came home after sacrament meeting. When I walked in Tyler looked at me in the most confused and sleepy way. It reminded me of a newborn panda. Anyway I laid down on the other couch for a while and finally Tyler wakes up at 12:30. He had slept for 12 hours straight, but at least he felt better.
